Construction steel: 20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 3,108 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, flat from previous trading day.

Medium plate: 20mm Q235 medium plate price averaged at 3,515 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, flat from previous trading day.

HRC: 5.75mm Q235 HRC average price was 3,292 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 1 yuan/t from previous trading day.

CRC: Average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was 3,785 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, down 1 yuan/t from previous trading day.

Ex-works price of steel billet in Qian’an stood at 2,950-2,960 yuan/t on August 18. Spot resources were quoted at 3,010 yuan/t. Direct-shipped billet transactions remained moderate, with most deals concentrated at lower prices. Downstream rolling mills were taking a cautious approach to billet procurement. In the near term, billet prices are expected to remain largely stable.
